The structure work is finished. A complete factory is build up, co-workers are trained, Elevator knowledge transmitted, parts supplied, expirations were optimized and the production had taken place. So far the first elevator build by OSMA in Pinggu started up their activity.

The first step in building up an elevator-factory in china is done. Further challenges are expected. Our goal – to build 2000 elevators every year in China is quiet ambitious – specially if you compare the 600 elevators which are build in the Headquarters in Germany. But than again this comparison looses their meaning when you see the whole German Market who needs 6000 elevators a year, compare to the Chinese Market who needs over 40.000 Elevators a year and with the growth rate of 25% in the last few years.

The now reached success is the result of a farsighted planning of the House of OSMA, with the attempt adjustment to the growth market in China, without the neglect of the activities in Germany. OSMA Managing director Albert Schenk – choose the right way - the cooperation with experts locally in china, instead of sending a OSMA-Team from Germany to China, regarding the national typical characteristics – and in Germany the people would had been missing.

If you take a look at the first elevator build by OSMA in China, the design is in a typical national adjustment. However the solid technology has been taken over without any reservations.


The manufacturing is made exactly to the German plans and techniques on the highest technical level, as you can see on the picture of the switchgear cabinet, which is build up – as well on the highest German level - locally in China.
